Installation - Basics - Output setup - Setting addresses - Direct Control - Sequences - Playlists - Running Playlists
The Output setup must be run once for each user on the computer who wants to use the program in order to create the confiquration file, otherwise you will get this error when the program attempts to output anything

The output setup can be run by selecting Setup Output from the Output menu, the Output Setup dialog box is shown below:

Quite simple to use, three buttons, Ok will save whatever is set in the dialog box to the confiquration file and close the dialog box, Set to Defaults will load the default values into the Diaglong box, but does not change the confiquration file, Cancel will close the dialog box without making any changes to the confiquration file.

The settings themselves are also simple:

Output Type - You should know which output type you are using (all hex files for Icicle boards are clearly labeled on the hex file download page as to which setting they need here)

Serial Port - This setting is only enabled if you have selected a serial based output method, and should be set to the serial port being used for the Icicle boards

Serial Port - This setting is only enabled if you have selected a serial based output method, and should be set to the serial speed appropiate for the hex file you are using (all clearly labeled on the hex file download page)

Parallel Data Address - Only enabled if you have selected a parallel based output method, should be set to the decimal address for the the parallel port data lines (default should work for LPT1)

Parallel Control Address - Only enabled if you have selected a parallel based output method, should be set to the decimal address for the the parallel port control lines (default should work for LPT1)

Parallel Status Address - Only enabled if you have selected a parallel based output method, should be set to the decimal address for the the parallel port status lines (default should work for LPT1)

Highest numbered box - Only available for some output methods, should be set to the highest numbered box, setting it higher might slow things down, and setting it lower will mean the boxes with numbers above it will not be controlled

NOTE: Parallel output methods do not work on NT based Operating systems (NT, 2000, XP), they only work on 9x based systems (95, 98, ME), however no such problems exist with serial output methods.
