Editting is made simple by the use of features such as copy and paste and working with blocks of 'cells' at the same time. Playlist Editor - The playlist editor is used to make playlist comprising of upto 256 different sequences, the number of 'time slices' and the step time can be varied for each squence, as can the number of times the sequence is repeated. Run Playlist - Run playlist opens files created by the playlist editor, and outputs the playlist of sequences you have designed using whatever output method is enabled. Status counters on this window serve no purpose except to prove its working! Output Setup - Not a lot to say about this, its used to set the output settings of the program and stores these in an ini file in your user directory Set Address - This is used to set the address on the icicle boards, it is the only way to set this address, it cannot be set through hardware jumpers or with the push button control on the board (though this is used to put it in the right mode to set the address using software). Its a very simple to use interface, just press the right number and press go and the job is done. Direct Control - This feature allows channels to be switched on or off in real time which is useful for testing purposes, channels can be controlled individually, a box at a time, or all at once. That just about covers this section I think, there are a few other things on the menus like about, turn all outputs off, and depending on which part of the program you are working in, things like open, save, etc, but those don't need too much explanation. |
