This section, along with the firmware section contains the information required to build the control boards I designed to use with the Icicle system, as these were designed for personnal use, they have not passed any sort of safety standards, and you use them at your own risk. I do not garentee that they are suitable for any purpose whatsoever.

The boards are 160x100mm circuit boards that give 8 channels of 8A AC switching and are compatable with the Icicle control program, and connect together by means of RJ45 patch cables, thats about all there is to it

Important Note: The chip used on the Icicle boards is a programmable PIC Microcontroller, its not just a case of buying the chip and putting it in, it needs to be programmed with the Icicle firmware in order to work, this is done using a computer a programming hardware, which need not be expensive, solutions such as the plans for the JDM programmer linked to from the links page on this site, can be built for as little as ten pounds.
